Sonavex, Inc.
Sonavex is a company spun-out of John Hopkins in 2013. Sonavex’s first product, Echosure, uses Doppler ultrasound to detect post-operative blood clots to prevent surgical failures. Another product developed by the company is EchoMark, an FDA-cleared soft tissue marker for marking surgical sites. It uses a manufacturing technique that enhances acoustic signal to maximize brightness under ultrasound (MicroCav).
