Weidlinger develops software tools to meet its consulting needs and sells many of them as commercial products. In the ultrasound field, Weidlinger developed PZFlex, which is a virtual laboratory for designing piezoelectric and electrostatic devices. It’s a finite element software for modeling long-distance wave propagation, thermal modeling, transducer design outputs, benchmarks, etc… It’s a standard for medical ultrasound and therapeutic applications.
